Lots Going on at Synchro32

My my my - how time flies. I can't believe I haven't updated the BLOG since April 1st! Well, at least I got an update out in May.

Everyone at Synchro32 is keeping extremely busy these days. Lee is cracking his whip and being the task master that he is - making sure that all of our tickets are attended to. On-going customer support before and AFTER the sale is very important at Synchro32 and is something that everyone prides them selves in.

Simon is currently on assignment in North America, once again for probably the 4th or 5th time this year, assisting customers with new installations, consultations, and additional training - insuring that Synchro32 customers receive the most out of the system.

Me, well besides following up on customer tickets and support and attending to on-going sales leads and customer remote training, I'm in the process of writing an article on costing and estimating for Modern Casting and also am working on a huge quote. There certainly doesn't feel like a recession at Synchro32 as we are as busy if not busier than we have ever been - or at least that's what Lee tells me.

Since we last met, Synchro32 team wrapped up a hugely successful exposition in Las Vegas at the 113th Metal Casting Congress. These shows are always a hoot as I get to meet and great existing customers and potential customers. Plus, as an added bonus I've become rather good friends with several of the other vendors - it's like a circuit - we see each other at all the shows and have dinner and talk during the slow times while sessions and meetings are going on. It's nice to have friends at the show as we help each other out in setting up and tearing down the booths. I've gotten rather adapt at setting everything up solo. I can get the booth setup and squared away in about two hours and taken down in about thirty minutes. Vegas is always a fun town, even if you don't toss the dice or pull the levers - there is always plenty to do and see - and people watching is on top of the list. I must say, I had the opportunity to spend an extra few days after the show and got to stay at Caesars Palace. WOW! Talk about posh. If you ever have the opportunity to stay at Caesars, be sure and partake in the Roman Baths. I had the good fortune of a good friend of mine, my camping and backpacking buddy, of being out at there at the same time. He is on the "frequent guest list" at all of the Harrahas resort properties and we had a royal flush time with all of his perks and comps.

Also, I made a mad dash up to Fort Worth for the Texas Regional conference and saw many of the same vendors. I was really hoping to meet up with some of my old friends from the Texas Foundries Citation Lufkin days, but such was not the case. The Texas Regional team put on a good show with outstanding food and drink on the show room floor.

Alas, my traveling days are over with until probably October when I will go up to Indianapolis for the Investment Casting Show. Putting the suitcase away for a while is A-Ok with me. I like working out of the office and being home at night. There is no place like home. My travel schedule for the first part of this year was pretty crowded with Milwaukee, Seattle, Vegas, and Fort Worth. It's always fun to travel and see new places, but as I said - there really is no place like home.

Well, TTFN for now... Ta Ta For now...

All is well in the land of Synchro32.
