Shrimp v. Prawn



Boiled shrimp, sweet potato, macaroni and cheese, and shrimp sauce..

Had a neighborhood shrimp boil last night. The local market had a huge sale on fresh Gulf of Mexico deheaded shrimp. Boiled them up and had a feast. Yum.

To me, they are just good eatin - boiled, BBQ, steamed, baked, or even fried. Probably my favorite is in a New Orleans Louisiana Cajujn dish served with white rice known as shrimp etouffee. That's "good chewin".

They look like mean roast potatoes. I think we learn a great deal about food from our parents. Habits, good and bad.

The prawns look tasty but remember they are high in cholesterol. A treat but not too often...
